Charcoal • Watercolor • Hand-Built Clay
If you’ve been wanting to make art but don’t know where to start, this is for you.
I offer calm, one-to-one private lessons designed for complete beginners (and returning creatives) who want a supportive, pressure-free way to learn basic skills and enjoy the process. Relaxed guidance, clear steps, and genuine progress.

Choose Your Medium
Charcoal (Drawing)
Learn how to draw with confidence using simple, powerful tools:
- Basic shapes and proportions
- Light, shadow, and form
- Gesture and expressive mark-making
- Faces, hands, or figure basics (optional)
Watercolor (Painting)
A gentle introduction to color, flow, and control:
- Brushes, paper, paints
- Water control
- Mixing color and building layers
- Simple landscapes, still life, or figures
Hand-Built Clay (No Wheel)
Perfect if you want something tactile and grounding:
- Pinch pots, coil building, and slab forms
- Simple bowls, cups, vases, and sculptural pieces
- Texture, carving, and surface detail
- A calm, mindful creative process
Please note, clay work is a process. If you want a truly final piece, I will need to fire it and then you will need to come back to glaze it about 2 weeks later. That requires a 2nd booking. If you just want the basic class without worrying about firing that is fine. The clay can still air dry and you’d have something to show for your time.
What a Session Feels Like
Private classes are relaxed and beginner-friendly. We can listen to music, take breaks, and work at your pace. Nothing is strenuous — it’s more like a calm creative reset than a formal “lesson.” Yes, this can be for children also – assuming they can focus and take instruction.
You’ll leave with:
- practical skills you can repeat at home
- a finished study or piece-in-progress
- confidence and clarity on “what to do next”

Options
- Private 1:1 lessons
- Couples / date-night classes
- Small private groups (4 max)
